Argentina (AR) — civil law.
Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a
subasta judicialin Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.
Poder desde el exterior
A non-resident who wants someone in Argentina to register as a bidder, bid, pay, sign the
acta and see the purchase through registration needs a poder (power of attorney)
that an Argentine court, auction office and registry will accept. Three layers have to be
right: what the power says and in what form, how the foreign signature is
authenticated, and how the text is translated. Each layer is a common point of
failure, and none can be fixed quickly once the auction clock is running.

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.
We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
