Argentina (AR) — civil law.

Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a subasta judicial in Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.

Ley 27.423 — honorarios profesionales de abogados, procuradores y auxiliares de la Justicia nacional y federal

In an Argentine execution, the lawyers’ fees are costas. A court sets them in a regulación de honorarios, and they are paid out of the auction price ahead of the remanente. Ley 27.423 is the scale used for that regulation, but only in national and federal courts: the national civil and commercial courts of CABA, and the federal courts everywhere. This page covers the statute as a whole. How fees and the martillero’s commission come out of a particular sale is explained on honorarios-del-abogado-y-del-martillero.

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.

We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
