Argentina (AR) — civil law.

Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a subasta judicial in Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.

BOCBA — Boletín Oficial de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires

The official gazette of the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, edited by the Secretaría Legal y Técnica (Gerencia Operativa Boletín Oficial y Registro, Uspallata 3160). Under Ley 2.739 its web edition “tiene carácter oficial y auténtico, y produce iguales efectos jurídicos que su edición impresa”.

The trap for searchers. Most property auctions in CABA are ordered by the Justicia Nacional en lo Civil y Comercial, which applies the CPCCN; its art. 566 edicto goes to “el Boletín Oficial” — the national BORA, Segunda Sección. Look there first: boletin-oficial-nacion. The BOCBA matters for acts of the city itself (AGIP rules, valuation resolutions, city court resolutions) and for notices the city’s own courts order.

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.

We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
