Argentina (AR) — civil law.

Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a subasta judicial in Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.

Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Santiago del Estero

Edited by the Dirección General de Imprenta y Boletín Oficial, which also runs the government printing works and a small museum of the press (M.I.B.O.). The website describes the gazette as the publication “donde se publican las constituciones, leyes, decretos, reglamentos y otras normas jurídicas”.

For a buyer this is the hardest gazette in the country to monitor: there is no way to look back at the days a remate edicto ran. Ask the martillero or the court for the publication receipts (constancias de publicación) in the file.

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.

We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
