Argentina (AR) — civil law.
Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a

Colegio de Escribanos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires
The notariat of CABA is governed by Ley 404, the Ley Orgánica
Notarial (Digesto code Ley D-404). Art. 2: notaries acting in the City are grouped “por
intermedio del ‘Colegio de Escribanos’ de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, institución civil fundada el 7

(Ley 404, Digesto CABA).
Only escribanos de registro (holders or adscriptos of a numbered notarial registry) are
colegiated (art. 3); registries are created by the Executive and belong to the State (arts. 31–32);
discipline is shared with a Tribunal de Superintendencia del Notariado (art. 120).

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.
We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
