Argentina (AR) — civil law.

Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a subasta judicial in Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.

Colegio de Escribanos de la Provincia de Santa Fe

Santa Fe’s notariat is governed by Ley 6898, the Ley Orgánica del Notariado, which replaced Ley 3330 (art. 61); the texto ordenado read here incorporates Ley 10.965 and the adjunciones reform of Ley 13.410 (Ley 6898 t.o., published by the 2ª Circunscripción). Art. 44 creates the “Colegio de Escribanos de la Provincia de Santa Fe” as a legal person “bajo las bases de los actuales Colegios de Escribanos de las ciudades de Santa Fe y Rosario”; art. 46 divides it into two circunscripciones matching the jurisdiction of the civil and commercial appeal chambers of Santa Fe and Rosario, each with its own Consejo Directivo, joined in a Consejo Superior. Colegiation is compulsory for titulares, adscriptos and retired notaries (art. 45). A Tribunal de Superintendencia in each circunscripción oversees the notaries (art. 36).

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.

We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
