Argentina (AR) — civil law.
Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a
subasta judicialin Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.
Sobreseimiento del juicio — paying everything after the hammer
The sobreseimiento del juicio ejecutivo is the debtor’s last exit: a deposit of
the whole debt, after the remate has already taken place, that frees the property and
unwinds the sale. It is not a post-sale repurchase from the buyer. It is a payment
to the court that renders the execution purposeless, and the buyer is compensated for
his lost bargain by a statutory indemnity. Its timing is the most litigated point in the
auction sequence — see purga-y-el-limite-temporal.

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.
We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
