Argentina (AR) — civil law.

Nothing on this page describes United States practice. There is no certificate sold to an investor, no administrative sale of land for unpaid tax, and no redemption window after a subasta judicial in Argentina. If you arrived carrying US assumptions, read falsos-amigos first.

Liquidación and distribución del precio

The auction price is not handed to anyone. It is deposited into a cuenta judicial under the court’s control and leaves it only by judicial order, after a liquidación — the creditor’s computation of capital, interest and costs — has been approved. This page traces that step: who files what, in what order the money is paid, and when the `remanente` becomes the ejecutado’s.

Layer.

The procedure (who files, in how many days) is the CPCCN for national and federal courts; each province has its own article. The order of priority among creditors is national substantive law (CCyC arts. 2573–2586) and holds everywhere — except in a quiebra, where Ley 24.522 governs (comprar-en-una-quiebra).

The opening section is open to everyone. The procedure in detail — statutes, deadlines, who may bid, and what the record does not say — is behind a free account.

We ask for one because writing these from primary sources is slow work, and knowing who relies on it tells us which country to do next.
